Quantity Surveyor Salary: £46,000 - £54,000 (FTE)Job Type: Part Time or Full Time, Permanent Location: Head Office - West Didsbury Benefits: Competitive pension, 26 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with service, cycle to work scheme, season ticket loans for public transport plus much more. You will be responsible for managing and reporting on the finances of the annual investment programme for Assets, supporting the management and delivery teams in monitoring budgets, valuations for payments including negotiating and liaising with contractors. You will be required to liaise directly with the key stakeholders within Great Places as well as contractors to ensure that contracts are achieving their intended goals with regard to financial and performance targets and KPI's. You will play a vital role in ensuring the commercial success of our contracts and be responsible for reducing costs, increasing value, and mitigating financial risks. What you'll need Experience in working in a quantity surveying / commercial environment Ideally, experience of working in a social housing / housing maintenance environment (either client or contractor side)Understanding of JCT / NEC / framework contracts Knowledge of Value Cost Reconciliations (VCR) and the overall Quantity Surveying process. Proven track record of working with applications for payment / valuation templates & process management. Excellent planning, budgeting, organising and prioritisation skills and the ability to keep concise recordinteractioncellent data analysis skills, used to exporting and manipulating information, preparing and issuing reports to the senior management team Strong report writing skills and able to interpret financial and other systems data, including being able to present in meetings. A good working knowledge of the Microsoft suite, including the use of internal systems and particularly advanced in Excel. Able to build and sustain working relationships with.
