Class Underwriter - Policy Wording Be part of a National evolving Underwriting function within a reputable and stable organisation A diverse role driving underwriting excellence, ensuring we are doing the right things in the right way Hybrid up to 80% homeworking options available About the role We are seeking a Policy Wording Specialist to join our Head Office function in Stratford-upon-Avon on a nine month fixed term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an environment that will broaden your skillset, and which will enable you to make a difference by helping to shape our commercial underwriting approach. Working within the Head Office Underwriting Team you’ll be part of the team which proactively maintains and continuously improves the policy literature suite across our GI products and using your underwriting expertise and judgement, you’ll ensure policy literature is effective and consistent in portraying underwriting risk appetite and giving cover to members as intended. You’ll act as a final point of referral in relation to policy literature for all classes of business whilst continuously reviewing, approving, and ensuring consistency with policy wordings and associated documents and communications. You’ll review policy literature in the wider market to ensure that future risks and opportunities are identified and acted upon appropriately whilst continually improving organisation-wide expertise in policy literature. This role is based in our Tiddington Head Office, just outside Stratford-Upon-Avon. However, we understand how important a positive work-life balance is, so to help you give your best, we offer great facilities when you want to be in an office environment and support to work up to 80% of your hours from home. About you We are seeking a GI insurance professional who has previous experience of working with policy documentation, whether this is personal or commercial lines.
