The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Position Overview The role of the Virtual Emergency Care and Transfer Resource (VECTRS) Interfacility Transport Coordinator is to receive and process requests for medical assistance and medical transportation. The Interfacility Transport Coordinator will manage incoming calls, prioritize, coordinate and work with dispatch agencies on the medical response and transportation needs. The Interfacility Transport Coordinator will obtain the necessary caller information; communicate the information to the VECTRS team and dispatch information using a variety of digital tools and resources. The Interfacility Transport Coordinator must be able to interact with the medical personnel, and other public safety agencies. Primary responsibilities relate to all applicable regulations/policies within VECTRS and Shared Health. The Interfacility Transport Coordinator will conduct themselves in a non-judgmental, and professional manner. As the Interfacility Transport Coordinator you will: Answer and process calls for service and requests for assistance, obtain essential information from callers and triage the nature of injuries and illnesses Monitor and operate communication systems to ensure efficient and essential communications.
