About the Role: A postdoctoral research position is available to investigate the epigenetic mechanisms operating at the boundary between normal and cancer in an in vivo mouse model. This is a collaborative project between cancer researchers, epigenetics experts, computational biologists, and the aim is to investigate the molecular mechanisms at the chromatin level that facilitate cell state transitions which seal the path towards oncogenic development. This project has the potential to lay the foundation to a novel research direction in understanding ageing, regeneration and natural emergence of pre-cancerous cells. About You: Essential requirements for this post include a Ph D in a relevant biological subject. Significant research laboratory experience in molecular biology/biochemistry, and working with in vivo mouse models are essential. Experience in epigenetics, single cell technologies and/or genomics techniques (Bisulfite whole genome or targeted sequencing, EPIC arrays, ATAC-seq, CUT&RUN/CUT&Tag, RNA-seq) and/or tumour biology would be beneficial. Candidates with bioinformatics experience and R/Python coding abilities will have a competitive advantage.
