Environmental Engineer / Scientist Teck Metals Ltd. – Technical Services Trail (TST), near Trail, BC Posting Date: Sept. 1st, 2023 Closing Date: Sept. 15, 2023 Reporting to the Principal Environmental Scientist, and part of the Environmental Technology team, the Environmental Engineer/Scientist is responsible for supporting environmental technology projects, providing technical consulting services to sites, and developing and maintaining a comprehensive environmental technology project portfolio. The position requires domestic and international travel, dependent on portfolio, project, and personal or personnel development needs. To be successful, we require someone with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, who can build relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and can communicate key messages and recommendations. This role requires a self-motivated individual with outstanding organization skills who enjoys running multiple projects and priorities with minimal supervision. Conflict resolution skills, and ability to mentor and coach colleagues are an asset. Join us in the breathtaking City of Trail, British Columbia. Responsibilities : Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures Advise on environmental technology projects through the project lifecycle and optimize selected solutions, with a focus on water treatment processes Provide technical support as a SME to multiple sites and project teams; facilitate regulatory reporting and provide support to internal governance practices Support techno-economic studies, including scoping or pre-feasibility engineering activities, to evaluate and rank.
