Job Title: Site based PAT Tester Sector: Facilities Management Location: Billingham, County Durham Are you passionate about electrical safety and ensuring that workplaces remain hazard: free? Do you possess a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of electrical systems? Randstad Construction and Property have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Portable Appliance Tester (PAT Tester) to join our facilities management clients team, contributing to the safety and security of various environments. As a Portable Appliance Tester (PAT Tester), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and compliance of electrical appliances in the workplace/commercial settings. Package: Competitive salary up to GBP28,000 per annum (depending on experience) Core hours Monday to Friday (40 hour week) Annual leave and bank holidays Generous pension scheme Training and development courses Responsibilities: Conducting thorough visual inspections of electrical appliances for any visible defects or signs of damage. Performing electrical tests using specialised equipment to backss the functionality and safety of appliances. Identifying and documenting any faults, defects, or potential hazards during testing. Applying appropriate pass or fail labels to appliances based on test results and compliance with safety standards. Compiling detailed testing reports and maintaining accurate records of tested appliances. Liaising with clients to schedule testing appointments and provide guidance on electrical safety practices. Staying up: to: date with relevant safety regulations and industry standards. Requirements: Proven experience as a PAT Tester or in a similar role. Solid knowledge of electrical systems, appliances, and safety regulations. Certification in Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) is highly desirable.
