Mechanical Design Engineer Sheffield GBP 35,000 : GBP 43,000 (dependent on experience) I am working with a UK leading manufacturer in Sheffield, they are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for creating 3D CAD models, gas, and pneumatics schematics, and creating documentation including BOM's and manufacturing drawings. The Mechanical Design Engineer must have at least 5 year's industry experience. It is essential for the Mechanical Design Engineer to be proficient with Solidworks or Solid Edge. The ideal candidate will have a background in designing machinery or industrial equipment. It would be beneficial for the Mechanical Design Engineer to have experience designing for welded assemblies. It is required for the Mechanical Design Engineer to work within agreed timescales and costs and liaise with customers and other departments. The Mechanical Design Engineer will also apply design techniques, such asdesign for manufacture, design for assembly etc. Requirements of the Mechanical Design Engineer: : Mechanical Engineering degree or HND qualification : At least 5 year's experience in an design and manufacturing environment : Proficient with Solidworks or Solid Edge : Designed machinery or industrial equipment : Sheetmetal / Fabrication design : Experience designing welded assemblies : Good knowledge of mechanisms, gearing and basic pneumatics : Experience doing basic calculations : Experience working on multiple projects at once : Research and Development experience : Good knowledge of welding and fabrication practices : Any Electrical design experience (desired) If you are interested in the role, please contact Adele Lewis at Premier Group on0161 871 Or email a copy of your CV: alewis pg: rec We offer up to GBP 500 for successful referrals.
