We are looking for a HR Officer to work on a permanent basis in Billingham, this role will be working for a specialist contractor who provides services to various industries. The salary is paying £32,000 - £34,000 per annum plus 25 days holidays and pension scheme. We are looking for a HR Officer to work on a permanent basis in Billingham, this role will be working for a specialist contractor who provides services to various industries. The salary is paying £32,000 - £34,000 per annum plus 25 days holidays and pension scheme. Duties and responsibilities of the HR Officer: All HR Administration Preparing job descriptions and advertisements Recruiting and onboarding new staff Analysing training needs in conjunction with managers; planning and delivering training, including staff inductions. Ensuring candidates have the right to work at the organisation Advising on disciplinary and employee performance problems First point of contact for HR related matters Answering any employee inquiries Updating employee holiday and sickness records Recording and processing confidential information Maintaining database of all employees on a daily basis and ensuring weekly timesheets are correct. It would also be an advantage if your experience includes: Monitoring staff performance and attendance Advising managers and other employees on employment law and the employer's own employment policies and procedures Essential requirements: Effective organisational skills Ability to form working relationships with people at all levels Knowledge of employment legislation Full understanding of HR functions and best practices It would be an advantage if: You have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or equivalent experience Experience of working in a Construction or Engineering type background or similar would be an advantage but is not essential If the HR Officer role is of interest, please call Shannon at GPW or please click apply now.
