Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a Purchasing Assistant to join a well-established, family-run SME based in Alton, Hampshire (potential to travel to other depots, customer or training locations). You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £25,000 -£30,000 per annum (with a Performance Bonus). About the Purchasing Assistant role: As a Purchasing Assistant, your role will be primarily providing daily assistance to the Procurement Manager operating within the Purchasing Department of the company. The role is an internal office-based position with daily communication with suppliers, operational depots and sales staff. Responsibilities as our Purchasing Assistant will include: Being responsible for your safety and the others within the department Generating daily re-order list; deciding on re-order quantities Liaising with Procurement Manager and depots regarding company purchasing and customers’ special requirements Sending purchase orders Order processing Checking suppliers’ order confirmations: products, quantities, prices, delivery dates Overseeing delivery scheduling details Support for the sales teams Reporting monthly stock figures Ad hoc projects as they occur Qualifications, Skills & Experience we're looking for in our Purchasing Assistant: Quick and efficient working style with positive approach Background in a similar purchasing role Methodical and detailed approach Good general MS Office Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to join the expanding team – please click ‘apply’ now to become our Purchasing Assistant - we'd like to hear from you!
