Are you an enthusiastic worker with strong organization and customer service skills? Then you could be what we are looking for in a server assistant/busser. You will work closely with our servers and help them deliver food to customers’ tables, as well as clear, clean, and reset each table with tableware to get it ready for the next party. You’ll bring customers to their tables, address their inquiries, and alert servers when their attention is needed. You should be familiar with the menu as well as food safety rules. Attention to detail and organization is important since you’ll be regularly restocking items in the kitchen and server stations. If you have some food service experience, like working in a fast-paced setting and closely with team members, apply for this role as soon as possible! Responsibilities: • Responsible for ensuring kitchen and server stations are kept fully stocked with condiments and all necessary items• Seat customers, respond to any special needs and requests quickly, and relay them to the waiter or manager, if necessary• Fill water glasses, bring beverages, or refill customers’ glasses, and remember to refill condiments and bring them to the table• Deliver food to tables in a timely and orderly fashion, and ask if customers need anything else before leaving the table• Reset tables for the next guests by clearing away dirty dishes, and setting new place settings, napkins, and silverware• Deliver food to tables in a timely and efficient manner• Clear tables and remove dirty dishes• Maintain a clean and organized dining room• Stock and replenish tableware and condiments• Assist servers with food orders and special requests• Follow all health and safety regulations Qualifications: • Prior experience working in the food service industry is preferred, but not required• Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays and to help out with extra shifts as needed• Know the basics of how to handle food items and kitchen equipment• Must have a high school diploma or possess an equivalent GED • Has the ability to stand, bend, and lift for longer periods of time for the duration of the shift• 1+ years of experience in a restaurant setting• Strong attention to detail• Ability to work quickly and efficiently• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Excellent customer service skills• Willingness to learn and grow Compensation: $13 per hour + tips About Company: The Radical is opened in the River Arts District, and we're looking to add to our great team of hospitality professionals!
