School Age Group Lead/Driver Excel Creative Early Learning - North Carolina Job Summary: We have an opening to join our team of passionate educators who want to make the world a better place through creating a magical learning environment for young children. Be a part of a growing community of early childhood educators who care about their teachers' joy and growth. Positions available in the following classrooms: School Age Responsibilities: Ensure the health, safety and welfare of children, staff and any other passengers while driving bus/van Basic vehicle maintenance, including but not limited to regular safety checks/inspections, scheduling oil changes as needed, etc. Ensure your classroom is in compliance with child care state licensing regulations Provide daily physical gross motor activities with or without equipment or materials indoors and outdoors Complete any required daily forms such as Child Tracking Sheets, Attendance Records, and any other paperwork assigned such as Incident/Accident reports Skills Experience working with School Age children Knowledge of or ability to learn early childhood education standards Ability to create a positive learning environment for children Communication skills that reflect professionalism and kindness at all times Proactive and team-oriented attitude to create a successful team environment Must be able to maintain a strict classroom schedule to ensure State "ratio" compliance Meet minimum requirements by DCYF Qualifications Must pass background check Provide a negative TB test, Physical Have or be willing to obtain First Aid/CPR Certification Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds Frequent periods of standing, stooping, bending, and occasional running Must be minimum of 21 years of age to drive Drivers-must provide a current state driver's license and clean driving record High School Diploma required, BSAC (or willing to get BSAC training) Willingness to drive a van/mini-bus Benefits: Insurance to include: Major Medical, Dental, Vision Paid Time Off including paid Holidays and paid select training 401k Reduced Childcare benefit-up to 50% off at our renowned childcare facilities Continuing education classes in the ECE field partially or 100% paid by employer Full-time positions available, hours vary from 6:30am-6pm, M-F, contingent upon school calendar Work/Life balance to allow you time to enjoy time with your family.
