We have an immediate opening for an Advanced Bookkeeping Specialist who will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company's financial operations and ensuring accurate & efficient accounting practices. What we offer: 80% employer paid medical insurance Dental and vision insurance Aflac Simple IRA up to 3% match 6 paid holidays and 2 weeks of PTO Professional development Annual holiday party Friendly and supportive work environment Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 430pm, flexible schedule Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience Required Qualifications: 5 years of experience in an Accounting or Finance role Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Proficient with QuickBooks Skilled in Excel, particularly with pivot tables and formulas Thorough with exceptional accuracy in financial calculations and data entry Versatile organizational and time management abilities, capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines Demonstrate strong analytical skills and adept at problem-solving Possess effective written and verbal communication skills Able to excel in both solitary tasks and teamwork settings Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Responsibilities: Accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of transactions. Processing payroll in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, reconciling employee hours, benefits, and taxes. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries and reconciling accounts on a regular basis. Preparing and analyzing monthly financial statements, highlighting key financial indicators and performance metrics. Assisting in budgeting and forecasting processes, analyzing variances, and providing insights to improve financial performance. Collaborating with other departments to ensure proper allocation of expenses and accurate tracking of project costs. Supporting the CFO or senior management in financial analysis and reporting needs. Assisting with the year-end financial audit process, providing necessary documentation, and resolving any audit findings. Staying up to date with accounting principles, laws, and regulations, ensuring compliance in all financial activities.
