Team members have the unique opportunity to explore diverse business lines, gaining hands-on experience in various facets of finance, including accounting, audit and supply chain management.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesAs an Indirect Tax Manager, you will be responsible for transaction tax compliance. Indirect tax returns are filed in state and local tax jurisdictions throughout the United States.Key Responsibilities:Review indirect tax returns & payments including sales, use, and gross receipts; review business license applications and renewals; ensure timely and accurate filings to minimize assessmentsDevelop, improve and streamline processes and procedures for indirect tax return complianceAnalyze GL, reconciliations, and tax reports to ensure accurate reporting of tax; reconcile data between systems to ensure integrity and accuracyMonitor the sales tax system to ensure correct rates and tax rules are appliedRespond to correspondence & inquiries from tax authorities and resolve outstanding issuesManage, support and develop tax staffSkills, Experience and RequirementsEducation and Experience:Bachelor’s Degree in Tax, Accounting or related field5+ years indirect tax experience preferred; telecom tax experience a plus2+ years management experience preferredSkills and Qualifications:Ability to recognize, understand, and analyze complex indirect tax issuesProficient computer skills including Excel, ERP systems, and AlteryxStrong attention to detail, critical thinking, and analytical skillsAbility to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines, and large amounts of data; ability to work in a fast-paced environmentStrong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectivelyMust be a self-starter with a positive attitude and high degree of enthusiasmStrive to achieve effective performance within the team, working for the overall success of the companySalary RangesCompensation: $83,950.00/Year - $119,900.00/YearBenefitsWe offer versatile health perks, including flexible spending accounts, HSA, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, career opportunities and a flexible time away plan; all benefits can be viewed here: DISH Benefits.The base pay range shown is a guideline.
