Job description About the Opportunity Aligned Providers (AP), an innovative and rapidly growing contract management services group is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to perform and coordinate accounting duties within our organization. The Staff Accountant is a vital member of the finance team, responsible for ensuring accuracy and efficiency of AP's financial records. The Staff Accountant's responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, and completing bi-monthly payroll processes , maintaining the general ledger, and performing other accounting duties as assigned. Job Type : Full-time, flexible hours Remote or Hybrid in the Dallas/Allen, Texas area. Reporting : This position will report to the Administration and Finance team. Essential Duties The position is responsible to perform the following, but not limited to key items: Transaction processing: entering and classifying financial transactions into the accounting system Coordinating and performing accounting functions and programs to include payables and receivables Preparing payroll semi-monthly, investigating, and resolving any issues or payroll errors and discrepancies, timely Reconciliations: performing monthly reconciliations of bank statements, credit card statements, and other accounts Journal entries: preparing and posting journal entries to record financial transactions Reporting: generating and analyzing financial reports to support management decisions Year-end closing: assisting with year-end closing procedures Assisting with preparing and monitoring budgets Maintaining and reconciling different accounts, not limited to the balance sheet and general ledger accounts Contributing to the development of new processes and growth to the organization Must be proactive and willing to learn new accounting systems, programs, and procedures Performing other accounting duties and supporting the Administration and Finance team and other senior staff in the organization, as required, or assigned. You should also possess strong Excel skills, be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work with little to no supervision and perform under pressure. A successful Staff Accountant will possess a set of prerequisite skills to qualify them for this position: Effective and clear verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills Demonstrated ability to lead and develop with a growing company Demonstrated ability to serve as a successful participant with the team Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality Deft organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Flexibility to meet the needs of the company Work Environment Hybrid or remote position May work under stressful circumstances at times Minimum Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required. Licensure/Certification Professional certification a plus. Experience 3-10 years of accounting experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel Technical expertise Preferred Background in the medical industry.
