Management Accountant – Hospitality Catering Business Role: Management Accountant Location: Feltham Hybrid 1-2 days at home Salary: Up to £55k Reporting to Finance & Systems Manager I’m working with a fantastic catering business that is on a mission to deliver healthy and fresh food prepared by teams of professionals to B&I and schools. The Management Accountant plays a vital role in the business's financial operations. Their responsibilities include preparing trading accounts for sites, monthly management accounts, and reconciling balance sheets. This position is crucial in bridging the gap between detailed financial data and strategic financial planning. Key Responsibilities Preparing site trading accounts/invoices Review and preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting reports, including variance analysis. Journal preparation. Preparing balance sheet reconciliations, including cashless system reconciliations. Preparation and phasing of site budgets and forecasts in conjunction with operations. Contributing and drafting the company budget and forecasts. Overrider calculation, invoicing, and analysis. Overseeing the investment tracker and fixed asset register. Preparation of schedules for the annual audit. Contribution to systems development. Providing accounting support to onsite catering managers. Extracting information from site accounting systems. Calculation of sales commissions and related journal preparation. Ad hoc analysis and reporting. VAT returns. Setting up Excel templates The successful candidate Fully Qualified Accountant or equivalent e. g. CIMA, ACA, ACCA, AAT. Advanced Excel knowledge with exposure to Pivot Tables and Complex Formulas. Experience in producing monthly Management Accounts. Familiarity with preparing for annual audits.Comprehensive understanding of financial regulations and standards.Strong communication & relationship-building skills.
