MILVETS is currently seeking to fill a full-time System Engineer IV - (SECRET CLEARANCE) positionAbout the company : Since its founding in 1986, MILVETS Systems Technology, Inchas been a reliable provider of quality services in the information and technology fieldsAs a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, certified by the Small Business Administration as a Small Disadvantaged Business, the company was founded to offer efficient, cost-effective information technology services to commercial and government clientsPosition Title: System Engineer IV - (SECRET CLEARANCE) Position Start: April 22, 2024 (Pending Contract Award) Position Summary: MILVETS is currently seeking to fill a full time System Engineer IV - (SECRET CLEARANCE) positionThe System Engineer IV, will be supporting the government at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MDResponsibilities:--- Perform systems engineering processes, procedures, and best practices.--- Provide engineering expertise to activities such as development, testing, evaluating, training and configuration management in support of an acquisition program.--- Provide engineering support on the transport and networking architecture focused on current and future tactical network capabilities.--- Support design reviews and perform thorough, in-depth technical evaluations and assessments of network performance and architectures, to include support of risk assessments and integration strategies.--- Support Capability Set (CS) and Integrated Tactical Network (ITN) activities.--- Provide technical support to evaluate and integrate new technologies to modernize communications.--- Effectively collaborate with organizations to include, but not limited to PEO C3T, other PMs and PdMs, ACM and other Army wide stakeholders and coordinate on interoperability considerations.--- Review and understand acquisition documentation (e.gmission needs statements, operational needs statements, Initial Capabilities Documents (ICDs), Capability Development Documents (CDDs), Capability Production Documents (CPDs), technical specifications, etc.) for Army tactical communications systems and translate those requirements to support the development of technical solutions that are standards-based and cost efficient.--- Review Government performance work statements and contractor proposals for technical accuracy and to ensure requirements are met.--- Proven systems engineering competency should include, but not be limited to, familiarity with:--- Experience in network engineering--- Experience in designing and implementing LANs or VLANs--- Experience with routing protocols, multicast, routing configurations, IPv4/IPv6 addressing, etc.--- Experience with network protocol analysis using tools such as Sniffer or Wireshark--- Experience with VMware--- Knowledge of commercial communications equipment--- Knowledge of transport and network architectures--- Knowledge of end-to-end network design and performance--- Knowledge of voice/data transmission and backbone networks--- Knowledge of RF engineering--- Knowledge of tactical communications systems Qualifications: BS in engineering, testing or related field, EngineeringExperience: A minimum of eight (8) year of tactical network systems engineering experience Substitutions: BS can be substituted with an additional 7 years of related experience performing tactical network systems engineering functions Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an Active United States Department of Defense Secret clearance is required_______________________________________________________ MILVETS offers an excellent benefits package including Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, Vision, 401(k), Paid Time OffApplicants for U.Sbased positions with MILVETS Systems Technology, Incmust be legally authorized to work in the United StatesVerification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hireVisa sponsorship is not available for this positionwww.dhs.gov/E-Verify E-Verify is a registered trademark of the U.SDepartment of Homeland SecurityThis business uses E-Verify in its hiring practices to achieve a lawful workforceEqual Employment Opportunity All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, protected veteran status, or disability statusMILVETS Systems Technology, Incis an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer and maintains a Drug-Free Workplace.
