This role will assure the completion of capital projects within cost, schedule and performance goals. The engineer will manage capital projects for new or expanded manufacturing facilities typically up to $5 million.Sr Project Engineer Essential Job Functions: * Prepare a detailed scope of project in conjunction with process engineering, process technology, and manufacturing. Work with the project team through project completion. * Prepare and route Capital Approval Requests (CARs). * Set up cost control and reporting for projects and manage engineering and construction costs to ensure each project is completed within the budget appropriation. * Work with technical resources to prepare detailed specifications for materials and equipment to enable purchasing to obtain competitive bids. Responsible for evaluating bids and making recommendations to purchasing. * Coordinate the field construction efforts through interpretation of plans, specifications and schedules and work with construction personnel to ensure a safe, timely, cost effective, and quality projectSr Project Engineer Minimum Requirements: * Bachelor Degree* in Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering * 5+ years of project/manufacturing experience; chemical manufacturing environment preferred * Demonstrated construction management, leadership abilities, and communication skills; experience in leading multi-functional teams preferred * Knowledge of applicable industrial standards; i.e. ASME, API, ANSI, ASTM * Thorough understanding of manufacturing equipment; i.e. tanks, pumps, piping, HVAC, industrial refrigeration, etc. * Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Project; Knowledge of SAP and AutoCAD preferred; Experience in the use of computerized project management systems preferred * Occasional travel required * Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) * Prior Olin experience in a related role preferredGrow your career where you are rewarded and valued.Who We AreSince 1892, Olin Corporation has steadily grown to become the industry leader in both chemicals manufacturing and ammunition.
