Summary The Center for Clinical Outcomes Development and Application (CODA) at the University of Michigan (https://coda.med.umich.edu/) aims to achieve excellence in measurement development, selection and application to improve clinical health research and care. CODA, directed by Dr. Noelle Carlozzi, provides expert consultation for measurement selection and application to evaluate clinical questions and interventions; develops new state-of-the art methods that maximize measurement validity, precision, sensitivity, efficiency and clinical relevance; and utilizes novel measurement systems and strategies to inform the creation and refinement of interventions to improve the health-related quality of life of those we care for. Current research focus areas include the development and application of patient reported outcomes, and the development and testing of mHealth interventions that can be delivered as just-in-time adaptive interventions; this work spans several diverse clinical populations (traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, Huntington disease, caregivers, kidney disease, surgical). CODA is housed in the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (https://medicine.umich.edu/dept/physical-medicine-rehabilitation) and is one of the collaborating centers & programs of the Institute for Healthcare Policy & Innovation (https://ihpi.umich.edu/). CODA is supported by funding from federal, foundation, non-profit, industry and internal sponsors and works with a large, interdisciplinary group of collaborators at the University of Michigan and at other institutions in the United States and abroad to achieve its mission.CODA is seeking applicants with a terminal degree (e.g., Ph.D., M.D., Psy.D., etc.) who are passionate about clinical research for a Research Track Faculty position (non-tenure track; level will be commensurate with experience). This faculty member will work closely with the center director and other study team members to support the center's wide variety of research studies and clinical trials. The successful candidate will assume research responsibilities across several funded projects within CODA and will be encouraged to pursue their own line of research. They will assist with grant writing and dissemination activities, including authoring manuscripts and presenting at national and international conferences. Additionally, they will be highly involved in the continued growth of the center, including refinement and implementation of CODA?s strategic plan. Required Qualifications* ? Terminal degree (Ph.D., M.D., Psy.D., etc.) in a related field of study (e.g., rehabilitation, psychology, neuropsychology, medicine, health informatics, public health, health services, information, computer science, etc.)? Focus/interest in patient-reported outcomes measurement development and application research? Focus/interest in mobile health interventions, including just-in-time-adaptive interventions? Interest in human-centered design and qualitative research? Experience conducting clinical research (behavioral trial experience preferred)? Experience with clinical research design and statistical analysis? Successful record of research productivity? Strong analytical and quantitative abilities? Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills? Strong management and mentoring skills? Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks independently?
