Full time Post 35 hours per week£16.36 - £20.88per hour Umbrella Rates About the Service: We are looking to recruit Contact and Outreach workers to join our team at a Family Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to join our newly redesigned service. This service will help create more sustainable family resilience, to reduce the need for long term or repeated periods of statutory CSC services and support more children and young people to stay safely within their naturally occurring networks, avoiding the need to be, or stay, in care. Information on the Role: Within the role, you will be supervising family time between children in care and their parents and/or other family members. This may be centre based or within the community and/or family homes. To provide supervised contact between children and their parents and/or other relatives where court orders or other circumstances make this necessary ensuring that the contact supervision promotes the welfare of and safeguards children and their families. Some of the family time arrangements may also be out of borough. As a Contact and Outreach worker, you will be working with families, providing practical support, advice and guidance to children and families with a wide range of needs. Working alongside social workers and family practitioners across Children Social Care. To work in partnership and contribute to a multi-agency approach to working with children and families to ensure that identified needs are met. To support children in their contact with their parents where trust may have broken down or communication is difficult.
