Private Client Services Associate - Junior Level

Description:
We are seeking a qualified Associate Attorney with experience in trusts and estates, transfer tax, and associated income tax areas of the law. The ideal candidate will have some experience in the field, with a minimum of one year of work experience preferred. We welcome candidates who have completed or are in the process of completing LLMs in taxation or estate planning. Key Responsibilities: Provide legal advice and guidance on trusts and estate matters, including estate planning, wealth preservation, and tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies. Assist clients with the preparation of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents. Advise clients on tax implications related to trusts and estates, including transfer tax and income tax considerations. Conduct legal research and analysis on complex tax and estate planning issues. Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners to develop and implement comprehensive estate plans for high-net-worth individuals and families. Draft legal documents, including trust agreements, partnership agreements, and charitable giving documents. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations relevant to trusts and estates. Qualifications: Minimum of one year of experience in trusts and estates, transfer tax, and associated income tax areas of the law. Completion of or in the process of completing an LLM in taxation or estate planning is preferred. Significant and meaningful experience in international tax planning is preferred. Currently licensed to practice law in New York, or currently eligible to become licensed. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
