Primary Role: The Security Job Superintendent I leads a team in the installation of commercial access control and video surveillance and is the customer liaison on small and large projects. The Security Job Superintendent I has the experience and expertise to install, program, and configure any video surveillance or access control equipment and lead/train others on the proper way to do so. The Security Job Superintendent I is responsible for ensuring the work is done in accordance with all applicable codes, project specifications, and industry best practices. This position is expected to attend jobsite meetings and coordinate with customer and GC representatives on all projects assigned. The Job Superintendent I assists the project manager with labor plans, progress updates, and as-builts to document the work. As the lead safety representative onsite, the Job Superintendent I is responsible for conducting daily JHA discussions and ensuring safe work practices are followed by all Avinext employees, subcontractors, and contractors working under their direction. This is a full-time position with most work performed Monday through Friday from 8 am - 5 pm with occasional evening and weekend work. Some travel required. Qualifications: The Security Job Superintendent I shall possess 5+ years of field experience and a minimum of two years’ experience leading teams. Must possess a high level, technical understanding of access control systems, IP Cameras, IP Intercoms, Video Surveillance and video management systems. Must be able to program, commission, and troubleshoot access control, and have good working knowledge of IT and networking principles. Responsibilities: Adhere to company policies and procedures Demonstrate professional etiquette with team members, superiors, and customers always Care for company tools, equipment, vehicles, and property always and ensure it remains in good condition Actively participate in weekly department meetings, quarterly reviews, and annual evaluations Perform assembly, installation and repair of equipment, materials and systems as directed and specified in work orders and project documentation in a timely manner Adhere to project schedules set by the Project Manager Read, understand and interpret project documentation and work orders and determining if additional information is required Programming and configuring of hardware and databases Provide support and mentoring to technicians and installers Ensure customer sign-off on completed projects and that Operation and Maintenance Manuals are delivered Report daily time and activity to supervisor and keep service management system up to date Maintain a professional image and attitude and build strong customer relationships Actively participate in personal and professional development and maintain knowledge of current and new technologies that company offers Follow all company, owner, contractor and OSHA safety guidelines Promote a team environment Benefits: Avinext offers comprehensive benefits to help employees build towards their future, including: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Life and disability Insurance 401(k) retirement plan Cell phone reimbursement plan Flexible time off Vacation pay Holiday pay Sick pay Training and opportunity for growth Additional Skills and Abilities: Must have strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously Must be able to read and comprehend general business documentation, engineering drawings and specification sheets Excellent written and verbal communication skills Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well-organized Superior customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse groups Proficiency in computer networking and the use of personal computers including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing and implementing skills which allow the successful completion of a project by a specific due date Valid and current driver’s license with clean driving record Must hold and maintain a current PSB license for the State of Texas Physical, Mental and Environmental Requirements: Employee is required to stand, walk, climb, sit and use hands and fingers Frequent lifting of heavy objects is required Reaching, grasping and carrying activities also required Must be able to read color diagrams and drawings Must be able to climb ladders and work from ladders, lifts, and scaffolding Frequent use hand tools, power tools and test equipment The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate Work is performed both inside and outside and subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations Avinext is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment decisions are based on business needs, job requirements, and individual qualifications.
