We are recruiting for a Trainee Communications and Marketing Officer to play a key part in raising the profile of the community business movement UK-wide. Salary Band: £18,200 – £28,536 Contract: Fixed-term contract for 12 months (potential to extend)Plunkett is looking for someone who wants to start a career in communications or is interested in moving in to this field having had work experience in other areas or organisations or returning from a career break. Working under the guidance of our Communications Manager, the post holder will lead on social media and digital communications. The post holder will also support our media engagement work. As a member of the Plunkett team, the post holder will also contribute to a number of strategic campaigns and support the delivery of set programmes and projects on behalf of partners, funders and stakeholders. You will be embedded in the Plunkett team where there is a culture of collaboration and supporting one another. This means you will have a team of people who will be happy to supply you with content and contacts, and they in turn will make requests from you to promote appropriate projects, events, case studies and impact stories. The successful candidate should demonstrate being: A storyteller with a passion for good communication. Proactive and motivated, with a willingness to support others. Able to manage and prioritise a varied workload and contribute effectively to project activity with tight timescales. Interested in producing great digital communication and good problem solver, with the ability to be innovative and creative. Our commitment is to support the right candidate with training and development opportunities, alongside direct experience of being involved in all aspects of our communications activity. Previous experience of the community business sector, or having worked in a charity environment, would be advantageous but not a requirement for applicants. We are committed.
