Expanding into Sheffield we are seeking a Slitter/Pouch Assistant to join our team. This is an exciting time for us as we expand our presence in the UK and we are looking for dynamic, talented and enthusiastic individuals to join our new team. On a rota basis, this role works between the roles of Slitting Operator and Pouch Assistant. Slitting Operators are responsible for setting up the machine, running production on the slitter, cleaning of the slitter and all maintenance on the slitting machines. Pouch Assistants are responsible for working with the Pouch Operator to convert laminated films into high quality pouches and packing those pouches for shipment to the customer. £24,000 per annum depending on experience + pension + 22 days holiday + shift enhancements. Location Chapeltown, Sheffield 40 hours per week, Shift System Monday to Thursday, 7am - 5pm, 4pm - 2am So who are we? Put simply, e Pac provides digitally printed flexible packaging. Our core values are; Provide exceptional customer service Help our customers grow Support the communities and local businesses we serve Develop sustainable solutions Find out more about us at /watch? v=G5u3kk0ISl A ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Identifies and ensures that proper materials are used for production Manages pre-run testing of the material to ensure the correct coding weights and bond strength are applied Runs the proper amount of material/footage to the job order Completes proper checking of production and material Cleans the slitter daily; organizes machine and material parts during closing operations Prepares for production at the end of each day for the following day Spaces rotary blades on machine shaft, according to width specified on slitting work order.
