The Automation Design Engineer will generate bills of material, design custom control and power distribution panels, and develop associated electrical drawings. Here's what you'll do: Single line, 3-line and elementary diagramsInterconnection and remote I/O diagramsPanel layouts and conduit layout diagramsEquipment ID and legend plates lists, wire and cable schedules, bill of materials, conduit schedulesInteracting with CAD, Engineers and Lead EngineersInteracting with the customerIndustrial controlsMaintain files and quality checksFunctional SpecificationProject reviews, construction support and field verificationBasic hardware operation of distributed control systemsCAD tasks and assignmentsWiring practices and electrical fieldworkSelect appropriate hardware and instrumentation for applicationReview bid/spec plans, perform material estimates for projectsWork with Project Manager to develop project plans consisting of budget, timeline, resource requirements, BOM's, test forms, and other project documentation
