Job Description: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior/Chief Estimator with over 15 years of demonstrated success in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of accurately estimating project costs, leading a team of estimators, and collaborating closely with project managers and other stakeholders. This role requires a deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and market trends, as well as exceptional analytical and communication skills. Responsibilities : Lead and manage the estimating team, providing guidance, mentoring, and training as needed. Oversee the preparation and submission of accurate and timely cost estimates for construction projects of varying size and complexity. Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to identify scope of work and project requirements. Analyze project drawings and specifications to develop detailed quantity take-offs. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitiveness and accuracy. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to clarify project requirements and resolve issues. Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and other industry partners. Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, and material costs to ensure competitiveness and accuracy of estimates. Prepare and present comprehensive cost estimates to senior management and other stakeholders. Participate in project kick-off meetings, pre-construction meetings, and other project-related activities as required. Assist in value engineering efforts to optimize project costs without compromising quality or performance. Support business development efforts by preparing conceptual estimates, participating in client meetings, and identifying new opportunities. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred). 15+ years of experience in construction estimating, with a proven track record of success. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and techniques. Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, and Timberline. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel. Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing a team of estimators. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes. Professional certifications such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) are a plus. Willingness to travel to project sites and attend meetings as required.
