About the role Position Overview This position is responsible for providing leadership and expertise in Warehousing, Distribution, Quality, and Facilities management. Oversee the day-to-day Lebanon operations ensuring that all facility objectives, policies and guidelines are met. This position works under minimal supervision. Responsibilities Essential Functions Plan, organize and deploy manpower, machinery, and materials daily to meet operational targets as well as workload objectives and when appropriate ensure that changes are made to enhance productivity and exceed goals. Ensure that established policies and procedures are being adhered to. Drive continuous improvement process initiatives to improve quality and variable cost productivity. Prepare cost and budget estimates and subsequently assist the Senior Director Operations in the development, implementation, and management of the budget. Develop, meet and / or exceed facility KPI's. KPI objectives defined but not limited to cost per carton or variable cost productivity, order cycle time, inbound turn time, injury rates, and quality index. Lead and / or support the implementation of assigned CapEx initiatives. Direct activities of assigned supervision to ensure facility objectives are focused upon, establishing a strong, flexible, cross-trained and developed staff. Ensure quality objectives are met, internal inventory accuracy and shipping accuracy. Develop performance standards and logistical layouts for product flow through specific operations, prioritizing improvement opportunities. Maintain close surveillance and control over facility operations through perusal of reports, staff meetings, observations, and personal contact. Motivate all facility employees on multiple shifts, encouraging optimum productivity. Develop, train, assist and advise supervisors on company policies and procedures knowledgeably. Encourage open employee communication. Accountable for on-time shipment of customer orders and on- time receipt of replenishment inventory. Responsibilities as a manager include determining manpower requirements based on an understanding of goals and objectives, interviewing, and hiring; planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Direct the maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment by eliminating hazards, training employees, and promoting safety awareness. Continually upgrade, direct, comply with, and enforce Company safety programs and policies. Review and recommend changes to systems, policies, and procedures needed to enhance the mission of the organization. Additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management or Supply Chain Management Minimum five years' experience related to distribution operations in an automated warehouse or related environment. Prior operations management, process development, and organizational development experience required. Position requires strong leadership, organizational and management skills as the position has direct authority over operations supervisors and supporting staff. Experience with multiple Warehouse Management Systems. Experience in B2C/ B2B order fulfillment. Presentational skills and ability to present to cross functional teams. Lean and Six Sigma experience preferred.
