THIS IS A HYBRID ROLE WITH THE EXPECTATION OF 3 WEEKLY VISITS TO THE TANFIELD OFFICE. We are looking for the next phase of our growth, a Technical Lead Engineer to work within our Future State Architecture teams. Main Duties: - Support our product and engineering managers in prioritization, scoping, and leading the delivery of product features in the exciting world of Future State Architecture - Work as part of our engineering team to enhance scalability, performance, maintainability, configurability, and usability - Support, mentor, and coach other members of the team - Be involved in the entire life-cycle of features, including idea creation, deployment, and longer-term updates and enhancements - Work on a wide variety of different challenges across the product and codebase About you: - You have been leading engineers for at least a year - You have experience liaising with stakeholders in areas such as product, UX, Dev Ops, architecture and more - You can translate difficult business requirements into software designs your team can understand and implement - You are a role model, possess a positive attitude, and inspire others to do their best - You will be passionate about creating a product you can be proud of - You are familiar with security best practices applied to web and backend applications - Great at asking awkward questions, kindly - Motivated by learning new things and using those to make a positive difference - Comfortable challenging and raising issues at any level - Knowledgeable about a range of technologies, and quick to learn others - Able to zero in on bugs without looking at the code, based on your experience and intuition - Able to consider the broader impact of your design and coding decisions and those of others - Great at breaking down big tasks into small chunks, solving tricky problems, and tackling risks - Used to working with agile development teams on large software products - Ability to lead a team both remotely and office-based. .
