Based in the Hoyland area of Barnsley the position offers fantastic opportunities for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer What’s in it for you as Mechanical Design Engineer: Training and personal development opportunities Base salary from £40k to £50k per annum, subject to experience33 days holiday Hours of work – Monday to Friday 34 hours per week with an early finish on a Friday Company pension The ability to play a lead role within design and manufacturing operations What do you need to apply to the Mechanical Design Engineer Vacancy Autodesk Inventor or Solid Works design experience – 3D modelling Qualified in a Mechanical Engineering discipline Apprenticeship, HNC, HND, Degree etc Practical hands-on approach to testing concepts Must be able to identify and solve problems effectively Key Duties of Mechanical Design Engineer AUTOCAD Inventor Design of bespoke machinery Design and develop new and existing machinery to meet customer requirements The generation of engineering and assembly drawings using Autodesk inventor The distribution of drawings to the shop floor – machining, welding, assembly etc Working closely with manufacturing teams to identify and overcome any design to manufacturing issues, whilst developing corrective measures.
