Power Electronics Engineer: Cambridge/Hybrid : GBP 60,000 pa : GBP 85,000 pa An Electronics manufacturer specialising in Power Electronics are looking for a Power Electronics Engineer to join their R and D team designing next generation Power Electronics solutions for a variety of industries including the rail and automotive sector. Responsibilities: : Develop new Power Electronics solutions and improve existing designs : Work through the full design life cycle from concept to release : Work in a small, multi: disciplinary team with other Electronics Hardware and Software Engineers : Manage time efficiently to ensure on time delivery of projects Key Skills/Experience: : Degree in Electronic Engineering or another relevant discipline : Power electronics converter module design and validation : High: power electronics : Good knowledge of Power Electronics components (MOSFETs, diodes, IGBTs etc. ) Any mix of the following is nice to have: : Simulation and modelling of power converters (MATLAB/Simulink) : Thermal design experience (loss calculations, simulations etc. ) : Grid technologies Benefits: : 10 bonus : Private medical and health insurance : Up to 5 matched pension (10 total) : Flexible and Hybrid working If you are interested in the position and think you have the skills required as a Power Electronics Engineer, please don't hesitate.
