Sr. Technical Engineer Support Specialist

Description:
Job Title: Sr. Technical Engineer Support Specialist Location: 4600 E. Washington St, STE 600, Phoenix, AZ 85234 Duties: Conduct design reviews and participate in project meetings to provide technical input and guidance. Create and design 2D and 3D models, technical drawings, and plans for heavy industry projects using CAD software such as AutoCAD, and Revit. Provide input on BIM standards and processes for heavy industry projects. Review the work of junior CAD designers to ensure high-quality deliverables. Assist with development and maintenance of BIM project execution plans, including modeling guidelines and standards. Meet with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure BIM models meet project requirements. Perform quality checks on BIM models and related documentation to ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements. Assist with coordination of BIM-related activities with project schedules and budgets. Review BIM tools and technologies and draft recommendations for implementation. Assist with technical support to project teams on BIM-related issues. Communicate with clients on BIM-related matters, including project progress and deliverables. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance CAD design efficiency and effectiveness. Requirements: Must have Associates degree* (or foreign equivalent) in CAD/CAM Engineering Technology or related field; 1 year of experience as a Design Technologist, Electrical or Mechanical Designer or related, which must include: Creating and designing 3D models, cut 2D technical drawings from the model for heavy industry projects using Autodesk software, including AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor and Dynamo. Developing and implementing BIM standards and processes for heavy industry projects. Conducting design reviews and participating in project meetings to provide technical input and guidance. Performing quality checks on BIM models and related documentation to ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements. Will accept two years of experience in lieu of an Associate's degree and one year of experience. Employer will accept any combination of education, experience, or training.
