We are working with an organisation based in the Maidenhead area in the defence sector providing intelligence + communications solutions for highly sensitive information, across difficult cybersecurity challenges to protect security and critical infrastructure. We are recruiting a Principal Electronics Engineer to join their Electrical and Electronic engineering function providing the hardware development lifecycle. consisting of requirements analysis, design, implementation, test and verification in order to deliver electronic or electrical components and subassemblies into projects and products. The role is based at their state of the art facility in the maidenhead area. this is an onsite role therefore candidates should only apply if able to work at this location from Monday to Friday. There is flexibility in the working hours and some fantastic salary benefits The Electrical and Electronic engineering function in the organisation, supporting the hardware development lifecycle consisting of requirements analysis, design, implementation, test and verification to deliver electronic or electrical components and subassemblies into projects and products. A professional at this grade applies technical knowledge, making independent judgements based on practice and significant previous experience to support decision making. Key responsibilities Specify, design and prove/verify digital and analogue electronic hardware in order to deliver high quality electronic hardware that meets the requirements in a timely manner and within budget. Perform design calculations and carry out simulations using industry standard tools, and prototype as required, in order to estimate performance, identify high: risk areas and ensure high quality designs that require minimal re: design.
