Trainee Project Manager/Project Coordinator The Role low RISC CIC is a not-for-profit hardware and software engineering company (based in Cambridge), collaborating with international partners to develop and maintain open source silicon designs, firmware and tools. We are looking for a trainee project manager/project coordinator who can support other project managers with both our current and future projects. These exciting projects involve multiple international partners collaborating to develop new open source silicon designs. low RISC’s flagship Open Titan project (the largest open source silicon project in the world) is an example of the type of project you will be supporting. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your project management skills in a fast- paced collaborative open source environment. This role is based in our Cambridge office (7 Hills Rd) and you will be expected to me in the office at least 3 days a week. Responsibilities Key responsibilities will include: Supporting the other Project Managers with various project and administration tasks Attending and representing low RISC at project meetings with internal and external teams. Sometimes this will be with our overseas partners and will therefore be late or early in the day Stand in for the Project Managers at meetings as and when required Documenting actions (accurately) from project meetings and tracking them as necessary on a project tracker or spreadsheet Drafting clear and concise project documentation Communicating updates with key internal and external stakeholders in a sensitive and professional manner Requirements Essential experience/skills: Graduate in a technical subject or have equivalent experience Worked for several years on technical development projects and have knowledge of tools and methods used in managing, co-ordinating and successfully delivering these projects Desirable experience : Some technical experience would be an advantage such as hardware/software.
