We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our team on a full: time basis. The Kitchen Assistant will work closely with our kitchen team to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen. Key Responsibilities: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and food preparation areas Assist with food preparation and cooking under the supervision of the management Follow all health and safety regulations and procedures, including those set by the Environmental Health Officer (EHO) in the UK Help with the organisation and storage of food supplies and equipment Wash, peel, chop, and prepare ingredients as directed Perform pot wash duties for both front of house and kitchen equipment, clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishes Dispose of waste properly and maintain a clean and tidy kitchen environment Assist in receiving and storing deliveries of food and supplies Adhere to food safety standards and practices, including temperature controls and storage procedures Collaborate with other kitchen team to ensure efficient and effective operations About you: Education and Experience: Awareness of manual handling techniques Awareness of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) and chemical safety Experience of kitchen equipment Experience of dangerous equipment such as knives Competent level of English spoken and written Previous experience in a kitchen environment preferred but not essential Knowledge of health and.
