Cascadia Metals is currently accepting resumes for the position of Production Planner in our Port Kells office. This is an exciting position that will enhance your skills and give you the added value to get and stay ahead of the game. Successful candidates must have a strong work ethic, and passion to be part of the team. As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for: Skills and Responsibilities: Prepare, verify, and maintain various reports. Update existing data Answering phone calls for sales Communication between sales, and other in-house communication with all departments. Facilitate communication with appropriate individuals. Using Outlook for email communication Taking in orders, entering into a schedule, and putting appropriate material to the appropriate lines. Organizing a day's work for the production/floor teams Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost Provide accounting and clerical assistance to the Controller and other Managers as required Qualifications: Proven experience as a data entry clerk Fast typing skills; Knowledge of touch-typing system is strongly preferred Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc. ) Working knowledge of office equipment, computer hardware and peripheral devices Basic understanding.
