Rotman School of Management Campus: St. George (Downtown Toronto) Description: The Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto invites applications for a full-time tenure stream appointment in the Economic Analysis and Policy Area. The appointment will be at the rank of Professor, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2024. Applicants must have earned a Ph D degree in Economics or a closely related field, with a clearly demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching. We seek candidates whose research and teaching interests complement and enhance our existing strengths in real estate and urban economics, macroeconomics, international trade, and industrial organization. Candidates will have an established international reputation and will be expected to sustain and lead innovative and independent research, and to maintain an outstanding, competitive, and externally funded research program. For this position, candidates must have a strong track record of research and teaching in real estate economics, real estate finance, or related fields. Candidates must provide evidence of research excellence, which can be demonstrated by a record of sustained high-impact contributions and publications in top-ranked academic journals in Economics or related fields, e. g. American Economic Review, Econometrica, Journal of Political Economy, Quarterly Journal of Economics, Review of Economic Studies, and journals of similar caliber, the submitted research statement, presentations at significant conferences, awards and accolades, an active research pipeline, and other noteworthy activities in the field of real estate economics, broadly construed, that contribute to the visibility and prominence of the discipline, as well as strong endorsements.
