Part Time Support Worker Glamis Walk, Hartlepool GBP 11.52 14 hours per week : Saturday and Sunday 10am : 5.30pm Do you want a role where no two days are the same and you will be making a real impact to the lives of our customers? If this sounds like you then we may have your perfect opportunity We're seeking an experienced Support Worker to make a real difference to the lives of our customers. At Glamis Walk we provide support to people experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness. We are looking for supportive and positive people to empower our clients. You may be faced with challenging situations daily so you will need to be resilient and confident in managing these. We value our team and encourage learning and progression through our comprehensive induction programme, as well as on: going training to develop new and existing skills and encourage progression. Sanctuary has their own Learning and Development Academy, who provide a wide range of training courses, open to all. The position of Support Worker is referred to internally at Sanctuary as Project Worker. The role of Support Worker will include: : Regularly backssing the needs of our clients by writing and updating support plans, and signposting access to education, training and employment : Working with our clients to prevent or resolve their homelessness : Visiting clients within temporary accommodation: Offering advice in relation to fulfilling tenancy conditions: Providing encouragement to clients to complete the daily communal cleaning of the accommodation: Assisting clients with managing finances and welfare benefits : Encouraging social inclusion and helping clients to build their confidence, resilience and self: esteem: Promoting safe working practices by undertaking risk backssments within legislative frameworks.
