What you’ll do Assist in preparation of monthly consolidated group management accounts and work closely with finance teams to streamline month end process Work closely with FP&A division, Group Financial Controller and Management Accountant to provide commentary on month end actual vs. budget variances Communicate with AR, AP to ensure consistent, accurate financial reporting Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations Preparation of quarterly VAT returns for subsidiary companies Raise inter-company charges and reconcile inter-company accounts Prepare reports on revenue, COS, overhead journal entries to assist FP&A analysis Review Payroll reports prepared by other group finance members Help with month end stock closing processing and management of fixed asset registers Balance the above tasks with studying towards a professional qualification. Who you are Experience working in a finance team Currently studying towards chartered accounting qualification (part qualified) Commitment to results; is committed to obtaining results through taking responsibility, Demonstrating a positive attitude and ensuring quality is built into work Numerate, with good attention to detail and accuracy. Additionally, the following skill areas would be advantageous: Expert Excel skills and some background in Power BI. Demonstrates understanding of overall business and commercial issues facing company. Problem solving and decision making; analyses information appropriately to find best solutions and takes a balanced view to reach logical conclusions and make relevant decisions.
