Date Posted: 01/16/2024 Closing Date: 03/31/2024 , 11:59PM ET Req ID: 35682 Job Category: Faculty - Clinical Faculty/Division: Temerty Faculty of Medicine Department: Dept of Surgery Hospital Affiliation: Women's College Hospital Campus: St. George (Downtown Toronto) Description: The Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic Surgery at Women’s College Hospital is inviting applications for the position of an Academic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon specialization in post-mastectomy breast reconstruction. The effective date of this appointment is Fall 2024. The successful candidate will be a key member of the inter-disciplinary Women’s College Hospital surgical programs, primarily supporting the Breast Cancer Program focusing on breast reconstruction after mastectomy and secondarily supporting the transition-related chest (top) surgery team. The successful candidate will be based at Women’s College Hospital and will be a full member of the Division of Plastic Surgery in the Departments of Surgery at Women’s College Hospital and the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto. The successful will be a member of the Women’s College Hospital Department of Surgery practice plan. The successful candidate will have an elective plastic surgery practice based at Women’s College Hospital and must be eligible to have an active cross-appointment at University Health Network (UHN). The individual will participate in a shared on-call rotor at Women’s College Hospital. Regular access to Operating Room, minor procedures, clinic time, and office space will be provided at Women’s College Hospital. Evidence of expertise in teaching and research is required. The Breast Reconstruction program is a multidisciplinary team consisting of plastic surgery, surgical oncology, physiotherapy, social work, and nursing.
