Date Posted: 01/25/2024 Closing Date: 02/29/2024 , 11:59PM ET Req ID: 35676 Job Category: Faculty - Clinical Faculty/Division: Temerty Faculty of Medicine Department: Dept of Paediatrics Hospital Affiliation: Hospital for Sick Children Campus: St. George (Downtown Toronto) Description: Effective July 1, 2024, a full-time permanent faculty position (1.0 FTE) in the Division of Infectious Diseases is available at the Hospital for Sick Children (Sick Kids), 555 University Avenue, Toronto, ON, which is an academic health science centre dedicated to the care of children; affiliated with the Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto. The successful candidate should be fully trained in Infectious Diseases, with interest, skills and training in paediatric infectious diseases medicine. The successful candidate should be able to establish an independent research program and hold an appointment in the Sick Kids Research Institute at least at the rank of Associate Scientist. Active participation in teaching will be required as well as general ID clinic/RAPID clinic staffing, consult service, and call (night, weekend, back-up call), shared equally among faculty as well as involvement in antimicrobial stewardship, participation in divisional, and departmental rounds. Evidence of excellence in teaching and research is required. The successful candidate will be eligible for an academic appointment at the rank of Assistant/Associate or Full Professor at the University of Toronto. Rank and salary ($227,000 - $250,000) per annum will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will be eligible for a benefits package which includes medical, dental, life insurance, long term disability insurance, group insurance, pension plan, vision care, academic allowance, and a relocation package.
