Date Posted: 01/25/2024 Closing Date: 02/29/2024 , 11:59PM ET Req ID: 35748 Job Category: Faculty - Clinical Faculty/Division: Temerty Faculty of Medicine Department: Dept of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine Hospital Affiliation: Sinai Health System Campus: St. George (Downtown Toronto) Description: The Interdepartmental Centre for Critical Care at University Health Network (UHN) and Sinai Health, Mount Sinai Hospital (MSH) site, and the Department of Anesthesia & Pain Management at UHN/Sinai are seeking applications for a full-time active staff appointment as an Academic Anesthesiologist & Intensivist Clinician-Quality Improvement. The successful candidate must be eligible for an academic appointment at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor in the Interdepartmental Division of Critical Care Medicine and Department of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine, in the Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto. The anticipated start date will be July 1, 2024, or one which is mutually agreed upon. The successful applicant must hold MD and FRCPC qualifications, or equivalent with training in Anesthesia and Critical Care Medicine and have, or be eligible for licensure in Ontario (CPSO). Formal training in quality improvement is essential. Excellence will be backssed by advanced training in quality improvement or equivalent, successful quality improvement initiatives, evidence of practice and/or equipment innovations, and invitations to significant conferences, and accolades. The successful candidate will lead the inter-professional critical care team during clinical weeks on call in the role of attending physician in the ICU at MSH and will also perform duties in the Sinai operating rooms as part of the anesthesia team. In addition, the candidate will develop an academic body of work, establishing a quality improvement focus on topics relevant to the Sinai/UHN Critical Care Program.
