R. T. Med Staff is currently seeking facility registered nurses (RNs) and registered practical nurses (RPNs) to join our dynamic team! We are currently hiring nurses to work in a downtown Mental Health Facility. The mental health nurse (RN/RPN) provides nursing care within the scope of his/her education and experience to patients within the facility setting. Responsibilities: Provide nursing care to patients according to the written plan of care Evaluate effectiveness of treatment plan(s) and adjust accordingly in consultation with the patient/family/caregiver and other health care professionals Report/communicate observations to the appropriate individual(s) as necessary Act as a patient advocate by protecting and promoting patient rights Treat patients with compassion and respect, recognizing and valuing diversity Maintain confidentiality of patient and/or hospital information Follow S. R. T. Med Staff’s and the assigned facility’s written policies and procedures Work as a team player with other health care professionals and service providers Qualifications: Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, in good standing Minimum 1-year full time work experience as an RN/RPN within the past 2 years Current CPR (BCLS) Certificate; ACLS/NRP for Specialty Nurses Meet health surveillance.
