We are working alongside a National Tier 1 Main Contractor with a number of signifcant Commercial schemes across the North West. They are looking to make an addition to their Design team with an experienced Manager to be based out of their North West office, and help continue their ongoing success in the new year. Key Responsibilities: 1 Design Coordination: Lead and coordinate the design process from inception to completion, ensuring seamless collaboration between architects, engineers, and other stakeholders. 2 Project Management: Oversee the design phase of multiple projects, managing timelines, budgets, and resources efficiently to meet and exceed client expectations. 3 Risk Management: Identify potential design: related risks and develop proactive strategies to mitigate them, ensuring project delivery is on time and within scope. 4 Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous quality control measures to maintain high design standards throughout all project phases. 5 Client Collaboration: Engage with clients to understand their vision and requirements, ensuring the design aligns with their goals and expectations. 6 Team Leadership: Manage a team of design professionals, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. 7 Value Engineering: Proactively seek opportunities for value engineering, optimising designs without compromising quality or functionality. 8 Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with relevant regulations, codes, and standards, obtaining necessary approvals and permits. 9 Communication: Foster effective communication channels between internal teams, external consultants, and contractors to facilitate smooth project progression. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelors degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as a Design Manager in the construction industry, ideally with a Main Contractor.
