Sacco Mann is once again working with a fantastic organisation which is responsible for delivering safe, reliable electricity for more than 8 million people across 3.9 million homes and businesses in the North East, Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire. Reporting into the General Counsel, we are now seeking a UK qualified Solicitor to perform the role of Head of Regulatory Compliance on a hybrid basis from their HQ in Newcastle. Sacco Mann is once again working with a fantastic organisation which is responsible for delivering safe, reliable electricity for more than 8 million people across 3.9 million homes and businesses in the North East, Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire. Reporting into the General Counsel, we are now seeking a UK qualified Solicitor to perform the role of Head of Regulatory Compliance on a hybrid basis from their HQ in Newcastle. You’ll be responsible for general regulatory advice and participation in various industry working groups, as well as taking a lead on responding to licence-related consultations. Other considerations include management of Competition Act and Anti-Bribery and Corruption compliance programme, Data Assurance process in respect of regulatory returns and ownership of the Regulatory compliance process. The ideal candidate will have proven working experience in or advising a regulated industry with the ability to operate at a national level, including with Ofgem and other industry participants. Previous experience of the electricity industry specifically is not essential and those with exposure to other utilities, Financial Services or Transport backgrounds are welcome to apply. You’ll preferably have experience of regulatory analysis and external reporting and thorough knowledge of compliance risk evaluation. The role is based from their HQ in central Newcastle but is offered on a hybrid basis and the successful candidate can expect a competitive salary and benefits package. For a confidential.
