Basic Purpose and Scope: The Truck Driver is responsible for over-the-road transport of Litehouse products to assigned destinations and pickup and delivery of other products Core Values Culture Service: Responsible for driving the Litehouse culture through company core values Accountable for outstanding Customer service to all internal and external Customers Develop and maintain effective relationships through collaboration and consistent timely communication Help uphold a "Team Member" environment supporting others with positive behavior Essential Functions and Responsibilities : Transporting finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers - 80% Inspecting vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance - 10% Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions. Assist workers in loading and unloading truck - 10% Document and log work/rest periods according to DOT regulations - Ongoing Report defects, accidents or violations - Ongoing Responsibility to adhere to Food Safety policies and report food safety and quality concerns to their supervisor - Ongoing Responsible for establishing and maintaining professional and courteous relationships with all internal and external customers - Ongoing Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures - Ongoing Other activities and duties as assigned - Ongoing Supervisory Responsibilities: None MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED TO PERFORM WORK: Education: Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school, trucking school diploma preferred Certifications: Possess and maintain Class "A" CDL and current DOT medical certification Experience: Six months to one-year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules. Operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals Ability to write routine reports and correspondence Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations Must have strong verbal and written communications skills with ability to express ideas effectively and efficiently Must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to establish & maintain effective working relationships with all contacts inside and outside of the company Ability to meet attendance requirements Travel Requirements: Travel up to 95% of the time should be expected Physical Demands : Sitting 80% Walking 10% Standing 10% Near Acuity Speaking - Ordinary Speech Hearing - Ordinary Conversation M anual Dexterity Computer Keyboard Fingering Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds Occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus Frequently exposed to vibration Work Environment: Normal Vehicle/Truck Environment Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions Frequently exposed to vibration Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) Matching Dental Insurance Health Insurance Life Insurance Paid Time Off Vision Insurance The ideal candidate must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test We do not offer sponsorship All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
