RQC, headquartered in Carlsbad, CA , is seeking to hire a full-time Human Resource (HR) Generalist to help us build our professional and internal construction trades divisions through the entire life cycle of our growing employee population. If so, please read on! This position is responsible for providing support for the day-to-day operations of human resources processes and functions in order to support desired business results. The position will have a specific focus on our personnel on the West Coast, though support in other regions will occur. We offer competitive wages of $30.00-$35.00 per hour, depending on experience. A DAY IN THE LIFE AS AN HR GENERALIST We are continuing to grow as a company. This position will work daily with corporate HR and division managers/leaders to forecast staffing needs, recruit for great talent, drive HR onboarding, provide on-site support for employees, and more with our growing staff. This position will need to develop collaborative working relationships with all division managers/leaders in order to accomplish staffing goals, while also representing RQ to external candidates and our existing team members. Depending on the tasks of the day, one might spend a decent amount of time working autonomously by posting positions, vetting candidate applications, doing initial interviews, coordinating background checks and drug screens, etc. On another day, one might find him/herself participating in interviews with various candidates and managers or meeting with managers in person (or virtually) to discuss topics of concern for employees in that region. Because RQ is a federal contractor, this position will provide additional input and guidance to division managers on our obligations to follow federal and other compliance guidelines (Ex. Davis-Bacon prevailing wages, payroll requirements, affirmative action/EEO). A decent amount of time will be spent on the computer and phone. In-Office work will be required. Travel to our existing jobsite locations (on active military bases) and possible recruiting locations may be required. Your positive, can-do attitude is also greatly appreciated! QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN HR GENERALIST An AA degree or 24 units of college course work is the minimum formal education required for this position. A BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, and/or completion of an HR Certification program is preferred. A combination of equivalent work experience and training in the field may be qualifying. PHR Certification desired. Minimum two years of applied work experience in a human resource function required. Two or years' applied work experience in an office function is required. Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Internet, etc.) required.
