Be a Star at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts! The IT Network Administrator is responsible for installing, monitoring, and maintaining the network infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime while minimizing business impacts. This position performs necessary updates, monitors performance, and resolves problems reported by users. This position also assists with the organizations data security and risk mitigation procedures. Located in downtown Tampa, The Straz offers a team-based on-site work environment and a full package of benefits for full-time staff including options for health, dental, vision, etc., plus a generous 403(b) plan. Essential Functions: Network Administration Configures, installs, and tests network equipment. Monitors network activity and performs maintenance on network infrastructure. Troubleshoots networking problems and end user issues. Monitors resource utilization and recommends infrastructure changes/upgrades, when necessary. Works directly with IT team to execute departmental objectives and projects. Data Security and Risk Mitigation Maintains a proactive patching, upgrading, and maintenance cycle on physical networks, desktop and laptop computers, servers, operating systems, 3rd party applications, phone systems, firewalls, switches, and routers to reduce the organization's risk. Supports the development of annual risk assessments, as well as maintaining the substantial number of existing risk assessments related to compliance, security, and technology. Assists in maintaining the organization's data security program. Assists with departmental and organizational Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning. Assists with routine data backup testing. Follows change control procedures for all system and user configurations. Help Desk As part of the IT Support Team, provides courteous desktop support for users via phone or one-on-one desktop assistance. Participates in on-call rotation with the other members of the IT team which includes evenings and weekends. Installs, supports, troubleshoots, and repairs various hardware and software. Utilizes a help desk system to track and document issues, and provides updates. Provides coordination, planning and scheduling for the installation, update and removal of hardware, software, and equipment. Creates new users in the Active Directory Environment and assists in training end users on hardware, software, telecom, and help desk system. Repairs and runs new network cabling, and assists with Wi-Fi analysis and troubleshooting. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays. In-depth working knowledge of the various Microsoft server operating systems and PowerShell scripting. Experience in maintaining a virtual server environment with VMware ESX server and/or V-Sphere 6.5 and above. In-depth working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, remote deployment systems, patching, risk mitigation, and vulnerability assessments. Experience with a variety of network infrastructure hardware, including Extreme, SonicWALL and Cisco. Experience administering cloud environments and connectivity, including AWS and/or Azure. Experience administering Office 365 cloud services. Experience with Moves, Adds, and Changes on Cisco UC platform. Experience with enterprise backup solutions. Troubleshooting skills and deductive reasoning sufficient to gather relevant symptoms, deduce probable cause, research information sources, as necessary, and resolve the problem in the minimum amount of time. Excellent interpersonal communication skills to foster relationships with the staff at all levels of the organization. Proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees within the organization, as well as strategic vendors and business partners outside of the organization. Ability to meet deadlines and provide accurate information in a timely manner. Ability to effectively manage many projects simultaneously and demonstrate good judgment and maturity in decision making. Education and Work Experience: Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience. Three (3) or more years' experience in the design, planning, implementation, and maintenance of a complex IT infrastructure including IaaS.
