Underground Utility Laborer - Minot We are currently seeking skilled construction workers to perform a wide variety of manual duties in support of underground construction. Prior experience with installation/repair/maintenance associated with underground utilities is preferred. Job Duties • Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact earth to grade specifications, using shovels and other equipment.• Load and unload materials, machinery, and tools; distribute to appropriate locations, according to project plans.• Signal equipment operators to facilitate movement of equipment.• Operate jackhammers or drills to break up concrete or pavement.• May operate light equipment, air compressors, pneumatic air tools, and other equipment as necessary.• Operate motor vehicles during travel to/from jobsites. Requirements /Qualifications: • Requires limited knowledge of techniques, tools and equipment.• Must have understanding of the hazards and precautions of the trade.• Positive attitude, hard work ethic, and a priority for safety.Physical demands: • Climb up and down ladders, machinery, and other objects.• Lift, dig and concentrate on a specific task.• Push, pull, reach, and frequently carry objects such as tools, materials and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs.• Load and unload tools and equipment on truck.• Coordinate movement of eyes, hands, fingers, and feet.• Work at different heights.• All work is performed at remote locations; driving and sitting are required.• All work is outdoors, subject to inclement weather conditions. Compensation: Compensation package is dependent upon qualifications and experience. Must possess current valid driver license and pass pre-employment drug testing and background check.
