Sub-Assembly Technician Position Summary Listed work hours (TBD) This position is responsible for various tasks required in the preparation of compressor modules for various compressor packages in accordance with the production schedule. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Cleans, evacuates and charges flex lines for inclusion in the Cryocooler assembly Monitors the run-in wall including leak checking and drying compressor packages Ensures all flex lines are dried in accordance with the work instructions Maintains dryers, traps, pumps and adsorbers Populates chassis as required by the production schedule Drains oil and/or fabricates suction and discharge lines Builds Cold Head motor cords and cable assemblies Follows work instructions for all tasks including new compressor evacuations Packs adsorbers Maintains pump-out stations Maintains proper levels of inventory Performs maintenance including cleaning work areas, tools, and parts Adheres to quality and safety standards as required by Cryomech Bluefors in regard to all equipment, supplies and products Other duties as assigned Qualifications and Education Requirements High school diploma and one year machining experience. One year certificate from college or technical school and six months related experience and/or training Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings/blueprints, operating, training and safety manuals, documents and forms.
