Infrastructure System Administrator Overview SimTech, Inc., a 2021 and 2020 Best Places to Work Winner, has an immediate need for an Infrastructure System Administrator, to join our growing, diverse and dynamic team in Huntsville, AL. Responsibilities Support STARS (Sensors Test Analysis Requirements & Simulation) Infrastructure operation and maintenance. Activities include lab STARS network administration to support daily Operation, Cyber requirements, network integration, installation of cables/equipment, and management and maintenance of STARS Infrastructure for the several labs. Primarily support the system administration of the lab's Infrastructure system environments to include RHEL OS, Windows OS, Storage System, Software License maintenance, Cyber requirements, workstation setup, troubleshooting issues, account management, configuration management, and support of Data Management. Responsible for generating and maintaining documentation fulfilling the configuration management and Cyber requirements Support Infrastructure system environments services such as the domain controllers, group policy, active directory and account management for Linux systems and Windows systems. Support HWIL system when requested. Other responsibilities as assigned. Minimum Qualifications, Education Requirements and Desired Skillsets Bachelor's Degree in a technical or related field from an accredited institution. Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated SA experience. Working knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise, Linux, and Windows operating systems. Experience with software installations and license maintenance. Experience with networking and configuring network devices such as switches, routers and firewalls. Must be a self-starter, team player willing to work with users, integrators, analysts and other systems administrators in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Must be detail-oriented and mission-focused. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and Visio. U.S. Citizenship with Active Secret Security clearance required. Certification Requirements DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 Computing Environment (CE) Certification in an approved either Windows or Linux discipline required and must be maintained. CompTIA Security + Certification required and must be maintained. Physical Description Employees in these positions will function in a general office/cubicle setting environment, laboratory/testing setting using standard office equipment and various electronic testing equipment, including a computer, telephone, printers, video equipment, computer software and testing equipment. Will interact in a general office setting environment with various personnel; participate in meetings and contribute to team success; deliver timely results and produce reports; receive and communicate information; may include telework. May function in a laboratory/testing environment using electronic testing equipment, computer software and complex systems. May move and test equipment of various weights. Laboratory environment may require use of protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to safety glasses and protective hearing and footwear. May be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization due to business demands; travel occasionally for assigned work. About SimTech, Inc.
