JOB SUMMARY Responsible for performing para-professional engineering work to assist Engineering staff with preparation of correspondence, technical documents for citizens, consultants, and other City Departments customer service; data entry, filing, meeting minutes, and scheduling appointments, managing calendars, organizing and following up on supervisor's assignments as well as greet the public by phone, e-mail, and in person. Assists in ensuring compliance in accordance with plans and specifications; including investigations and data collection and the legally established construction standards/requirements for civil engineering projects within the City's Engineering Department. QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: Associate's Degree in Engineering, Drafting, Construction Management or related field and two (2) years or related experience with a municipality, public entity, or a consulting civil engineering firm; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
